Chromebook Warranty

Each chromebook provided by the district comes with an extended warranty protecting against manufacturer defects and battery issues. The extended warranty protects against internal defects in the device as well as limited battery coverage. It does not protect the unit from damage, loss or theft. In the event a school issued device is lost, stolen, or sustains damage the student and parents may be responsible for the full replacement value of the unit or part(s) necessary to repair the unit. There is no a charge for diagnostics, parts covered by the manufacturer/extended warranty, or labor. Replacement parts must meet manufacturer specifications and costs are subject to change.

Examples of Accidental Damage (including but not limited to):

  • Drops
  • Cracked Screens
  • Liquid Spills
  • Liquid Submersion
  • Fire/Flood Damage
  • Vandalism
  • Natural Disasters
  • Power Surge Due to Lightning

In the event a device suffers damage a diagnostic will be conducted. Estimates will be provided for necessary replacement parts and the parent or guardian contacted.
