Dental Assisting

This program enables students to develop the basic knowledge and skills required for preparation into an entry level position in the field of dentistry. The curriculum teaches hands-on dentistry and lab skills, prevention techniques, and operative treatment. This program prepares students to pursue dental careers at the post-secondary level including, but not limited to dental hygienist, lab technician, x-ray technician, and dentist. Students in this program review dental terminology, dental anatomy, dental materials, infection control procedures, prosthodontics, oral surgery, periodontics, endodontics, orthodontic and dental radiology. Upon program completion, students earn NOCTI and CPR certifications and will be prepared to take the Dental Assistant Exam.
